Liana
Vrăjitoru is a graduate student in English at the
State University of New York in Binghamton. Her translations
of Traian T. Coșovei, Aurel Dumitrașcu, Mariana Marin,
and Elena Ștefoi (with Adam J. Sorkin) have appeared
in Poetry New York, Eclectic, Faultline, Apostrof, Pif
Magazine, Compost, Kalliope, The Kit-Cat Review, Smartish
Pace, and the anthologies Day After Night: Twenty Romanian
Poets for the Twenty-First Century (Norcross, GA: Criterion
Publishing, 1999) and City of Dreams and Whispers: An
Anthology of Contemporary Poets of Iași (Iași: The Center
